Structural components
The structural design of the spray tower varies according to the type, flow rate and concentration of the gas to be treated, but it generally contains the following main parts:
(1) Tower body: Generally made of pp or stainless steel, with a round or square shape. Inside the tower body, there are usually fillers, nozzles or filler layers to increase the gas-liquid contact area.
(2) Nozzle: Used to atomise the liquid and spray it into the path of the exhaust gas flow. The design of the nozzle affects the size and distribution of the liquid droplets and thus the gas-liquid contact effect.
(3) Liquid Circulation System: Includes liquid supply pumps, piping, level control and other devices used to provide treatment fluid (e.g., water or chemical solution) to the spray tower.
(4) Gas import and export: the waste gas enters the tower through the air inlet, and the purified gas is discharged from the top of the tower.
Wastewater discharge system: The treated wastewater is discharged from the bottom of the tower and discharged or recycled after necessary treatment.
(5) Packing layer (optional): Some spray towers are equipped with packing layer inside to increase the gas-liquid contact area and enhance the purification effect.

Fields of application
Shower towers are suitable for treating a wide range of industrial exhaust gases, especially those containing acidic or alkaline gases, particulate matter or dissolved gases. Common areas of application include:
Chemical industry: for the removal of acid gases (e.g. hydrogen chloride, hydrogen sulphide, etc.) and dissolved gases from exhaust gases.
Metallurgical industry: to treat harmful gases produced during metal smelting.
Pharmaceutical industry: to purify the harmful gases generated in the process of pharmaceutical production.
Painting industry: Treatment of solvent vapours generated during painting and coating processes.
Food processing: removing odours and harmful gases generated during cooking, fermentation or drying processes.
